The KLH Model Seven is the flagship of the KLH Model Collection, built for listeners who want classic acoustic suspension design with serious scale, deep bass, and a commanding room presence.

Its 3-way design uses a 1" aluminum dome tweeter, 5" pulp-paper midrange driver, and large 13" pulp-paper woofer in a wide-baffle cabinet with real wood veneer finishes. The result is a speaker with natural tone, effortless bass weight, clear midrange presence, and the scale to fill a serious listening room.

Despite its size, the Model Seven is designed for real living spaces. Its acoustic suspension enclosure and shallow cabinet depth make it more room-friendly than many large floorstanding speakers.

Each speaker includes its matching magnetic grille and matte black 3° slant riser base.

Our Take

The Model Seven takes the familiar KLH formula and gives it more scale, more bass authority, and more physical presence. It is a large speaker, but not a visually awkward one. The wide baffle, shallow cabinet depth, real wood veneer, and low-profile grille give it a furniture-like quality that feels intentional in a living room.

Sonically, the Model Seven is built for listeners who want music to feel full, grounded, and effortless. The 13" woofer gives it real low-end authority, while the dedicated 5" midrange driver keeps vocals, guitars, piano, horns, and strings clear and present.

Design and placement

The Model Seven uses a sealed acoustic suspension enclosure rather than a ported design. This helps produce controlled, linear bass and can make placement easier in real rooms, especially compared with some large rear-ported floorstanding speakers.

Its shallow depth is one of the most practical parts of the design. With the riser base installed, the Model Seven measures just 12.25" deep, which helps it sit closer to a wall without projecting too far into the room.

Each speaker includes a matte black 3° slant riser base, giving the speaker the proper listening angle and stable foundation. The included magnetic grille completes the classic KLH look, while the wide front baffle gives the Model Seven its distinctive visual presence.

The three-position Acoustic Balance Control lets you tailor the speaker’s mid/high output to your room and placement.
