Award-Winning Hi-Fi Sound in a Compact Floorstanding Design

The DALI SONIK 5 delivers the rich, detailed sound of a high-performance floorstanding speaker without taking over your living space. Combining dual 5¼-inch Clarity Cone™ wood-fibre woofers, an ultra-light 29mm soft dome tweeter, and DALI's patented SMC™ magnet technology, the SONIK 5 offers impressive bass extension, natural vocals, and engaging musical dynamics in a remarkably compact cabinet.

As the smallest floorstanding speaker in DALI's SONIK series, the SONIK 5 is designed for listeners who want the scale and presence of a floorstander without the size of a traditional tower speaker. Advanced Driver Technology

Dual 5¼-inch Clarity Cone™ Woofers

The SONIK 5 features two 5¼-inch Clarity Cone™ bass/midrange drivers inspired by the technology developed for DALI's flagship KORE loudspeaker.

These lightweight paper and wood-fibre diaphragms are engineered to control unwanted resonances while preserving the natural character of voices and instruments.

The dual-woofer configuration provides greater bass authority and dynamic capability than a typical compact bookshelf speaker, allowing the SONIK 5 to reproduce music with impressive scale while maintaining clarity and precision.

From the subtle textures of acoustic recordings to the energy of rock and electronic music, the SONIK 5 delivers a balanced and engaging presentation.

29mm Ultra-Light Soft Dome Tweeter

DALI's oversized 29mm low-loss soft dome tweeter is designed to reproduce high frequencies with detail, openness, and excellent dispersion.

Its wide bandwidth allows for smooth integration with the Clarity Cone™ woofers, creating a coherent presentation with natural transitions between frequencies.

The result is delicate high-frequency detail, clear vocals, and a spacious soundstage that remains enjoyable during extended listening sessions.

SMC™ Essential Magnet System

At the heart of the SONIK 5's driver design is DALI's patented Soft Magnetic Composite technology.

The SMC™ Essential magnet system combines a ferrite ring with a hybrid iron-SMC™ pole piece, helping reduce magnetic hysteresis and eddy currents that can introduce distortion.

By improving driver linearity, SMC™ helps preserve subtle musical information, producing cleaner midrange reproduction and a more natural listening experience.

Big Sound Without the Big Footprint

One of the SONIK 5's greatest strengths is its ability to deliver full-bodied sound from an unusually compact floorstanding cabinet.

Standing just 32.5 inches tall, the SONIK 5 offers a practical alternative to larger tower speakers or bookshelf speakers that require separate stands.

Its dual 5¼-inch woofers and carefully tuned bass-reflex enclosure deliver low-frequency extension down to 39 Hz (±3 dB), providing satisfying weight and impact for music and movies.

For listeners who appreciate a balanced presentation with articulate bass, natural vocals, and engaging dynamics, the SONIK 5 is an excellent choice.

Designed for Real-World Listening Spaces

The SONIK 5 is particularly well suited to small and medium-sized listening rooms where larger speakers might be impractical.

DALI's Wide Dispersion Sound Design helps maintain a consistent tonal balance throughout the listening area. Unlike many conventional loudspeakers, DALI recommends positioning the SONIK 5 straight ahead rather than angling the speakers toward the listener.

The rear-firing bass-reflex port allows for flexible placement, although some breathing room behind the speaker is recommended for optimal bass performance. DALI recommends a rear-wall distance of 15–100 cm, with at least 20 cm being a good starting point.

Adjustable spike outriggers and rubber feet are included, allowing the speakers to be securely positioned on different flooring surfaces.

With four contemporary finishes and magnetic front grilles, the SONIK 5 integrates naturally into both dedicated listening rooms and everyday living spaces.
