The Opera Callas Diva is a three-way floorstanding speaker that brings the scale, refinement, and immersive soundstage of the flagship Grand Callas to a more room-friendly design.

An 8-inch aluminum woofer, dedicated 7-inch midrange, and Scan-Speak 9700 tweeter deliver deep bass, natural vocals, and refined high-frequency detail. Two rear-facing tweeters expand the reflected sound field, creating a wider and more three-dimensional presentation.

Handcrafted in Italy and available in lacquered Walnut or Mahogany, the Callas Diva combines traditional cabinetmaking with advanced acoustic engineering.

A More Compact Callas Floorstander

The Callas Diva is the most compact floorstanding speaker in Opera’s reference Callas range. Its 60-liter cabinet delivers full-scale performance while remaining easier to integrate than the larger Grand Callas.

The Diva produces a wide, precisely defined soundstage with the bass extension and dynamic range needed for orchestral, rock, jazz, and electronic music.

Dedicated Drivers for Every Frequency Range

An 8-inch long-throw aluminum woofer provides deep, controlled bass with low distortion. A dedicated 7-inch polypropylene midrange reproduces vocals and instruments with natural tone and strong continuity.

The Scan-Speak 9700 tweeter completes the system with smooth, detailed high-frequency reproduction. Crossover points at approximately 200 Hz and 2,000 Hz help the drivers perform as a coherent whole.

Immersive Rear-Firing Radiation

Two additional rear-facing tweeters operate in a natural dipole configuration, energizing the reflected sound field without interfering with the direct sound from the front drivers.

This design increases spaciousness, ambient detail, and image depth, helping the Callas Diva create a more open and lifelike presentation.

Deep, Adjustable Bass

The Callas Diva reaches down to 30 Hz, giving music convincing low-frequency weight without requiring a separate subwoofer in many systems.

Its rear bass-reflex system can be used in open, closed, or mixed configurations. This allows the bass response to be adjusted for room size, speaker placement, and proximity to corners or walls.

Built for Low Coloration

The cabinet is handcrafted from MDF and curved multilayer wood, with a front baffle measuring up to 50 mm thick.

Extensive internal bracing, shaped internal surfaces, and a separately sealed midrange chamber reduce vibration and unwanted reflections. The result is clearer vocals, tighter bass, and more stable imaging.

High-End Crossover Design

Opera uses separate crossover sections for the tweeter and mid-bass drivers to reduce interference and preserve signal integrity.

Mundorf capacitors, MOX resistors, and OFC copper inductors support precise phase alignment, smooth driver integration, and accurate transient response. The rear dipole system also uses its own dedicated crossover network.

Flexible Amplifier Matching

With 90 dB sensitivity, the Callas Diva can produce impressive scale without requiring extremely high-powered amplification.

Opera recommends amplifier power starting at 10 watts, although its 4-ohm nominal impedance and 3.2-ohm minimum make a stable, high-quality amplifier important for the best control and dynamics.

The Callas Diva combines a sculpted front baffle, curved cabinet walls, and a substantial metal base with furniture-grade lacquered finishes.

Walnut and Mahogany options give the speaker a traditional Italian character while allowing it to integrate naturally into a refined living or listening space.
