The Acoustic Energy AE320² is the flagship floorstanding speaker in the new 300 Series. Its true three-way design combines twin 140mm bass drivers, a dedicated 120mm midrange driver, and a new 29mm soft-dome tweeter to deliver powerful low frequencies, open vocals, expansive imaging, and effortless room-filling scale.

Developed using technology from Acoustic Energy’s reference Corinium loudspeaker, the AE320² brings premium driver and cabinet engineering to a more accessible price point. Full-Range Scale with Dedicated Midrange Clarity

Unlike smaller 2.5-way floorstanders, the AE320² uses a true three-way driver configuration. Twin 140mm bass drivers handle the low frequencies while a dedicated 120mm midrange driver reproduces vocals and instruments independently.

This separation allows the AE320² to produce deeper, more powerful bass without sacrificing midrange openness or detail. The result is a larger, more effortless presentation with clear vocals, convincing dynamics, and the scale needed for orchestral music, rock, electronic music, and cinematic soundtracks.

With bass extension rated down to 30Hz, many stereo systems will not require a subwoofer for music listening.

Paper and Coconut-Fiber Drivers

The AE320² introduces newly developed paper and coconut-fiber cones derived from research conducted during Acoustic Energy’s Corinium project.

The hybrid material is designed to combine low mass with stiffness and controlled breakup behavior. This gives the drivers the speed required for detail and dynamic contrast while preserving the smooth, natural tonal character associated with traditional paper cones.

Corinium-Derived Soft-Dome Tweeter

A new 29mm fabric soft-dome tweeter provides clean, extended high frequencies with low distortion. Its design uses technology developed for the Corinium, including a neodymium ring magnet, vented pole structure, and controlled rear chamber.

The tweeter is designed to integrate seamlessly with the dedicated midrange driver, producing a spacious and cohesive soundstage without adding excessive brightness or fatigue.

RSC™ Constrained-Layer Cabinet

The larger cabinet of a full-range floorstander must be carefully controlled to prevent unwanted resonance. The AE320² uses Acoustic Energy’s 18mm RSC™ constrained-layer construction, combining MDF with a bitumen damping layer.

This cabinet technology reduces vibration and coloration, helping voices and instruments emerge from a quieter background with sharper imaging and more natural definition. A rear slot-shaped port reinforces the bass while minimizing turbulence and audible port noise.

Powerful, but Easy to Partner

With 92dB sensitivity and a nominal 6-ohm impedance, the AE320² is relatively amplifier-friendly for a speaker of its size and output capability. It can work with many quality integrated amplifiers while still having the resolution and power handling to reward future system upgrades.

The AE320² is best suited to medium and larger rooms where its deeper bass and greater output can fully develop. Because it is rear-ported, leaving some space between the speakers and the wall will generally provide the cleanest low-frequency balance.

Premium Finish and Practical Details

The AE320² is offered in walnut, silk-touch matte black, and matte white. Each finish includes coordinated trim and premium magnetic grilles for a clean, understated appearance.

Solid aluminum feet provide a stable foundation, while the included spike covers help protect hardwood and other delicate flooring.
