Building on the carbon-fibre dome developed for the 500 Series, Corinium introduces an even lighter soft-dome tweeter to further improve transient speed and resolution. The result is lower coloration, faster high-frequency response, and exceptional refinement — revealing fine detail without sounding etched or aggressive.

Midrange & Bass Drivers

The midrange unit is the heart of Corinium, covering an impressive five octaves and delivering the majority of the musical information. A newly developed carbon-fibre cone and surround were carefully tuned to achieve natural tonality and realistic musical texture.

The wider cabinet allowed Acoustic Energy to develop an all-new bass alignment and a bespoke 165 mm bass driver. This combination delivers deep, powerful, and tightly controlled bass with excellent speed and impact — all from a relatively compact floorstanding design.

Crossover

A fully optimised 3-way crossover is engineered for outstanding transient performance and tonal coherence. Premium components are used throughout, including air-core inductors, metallized polypropylene capacitors, and metal-oxide resistors. Audiophile-grade internal wiring with a patented conductor layout ensures maximum musical detail and dynamic expression.

Cabinet

Corinium’s advanced drive units are housed in a beautifully curved, resonance-controlled enclosure. The hybrid Resonance Suppression Composite (RSC) cabinet features wall thicknesses ranging from 22 mm to 50 mm for exceptional rigidity. A 4° rearward tilt improves time alignment, while a 6 mm ultra-rigid aluminium front baffle securely mounts the drivers and isolates cabinet resonances from the listening environment.
