Three 7-inch Clarity Cone™ Drivers

At the heart of the SONIK 9 are three 7-inch Clarity Cone™ drivers featuring technology inspired by DALI's reference KORE loudspeaker.

The distinctive paper and wood-fibre diaphragms combine low mass, rigidity, and carefully controlled damping to minimize unwanted resonances while preserving the natural character of voices and instruments.

Exclusively developed for the SONIK 9, these drivers incorporate powerful double-magnet motor systems designed to provide additional dynamic headroom and greater control.

The upper two drivers handle bass and midrange frequencies, while the lower driver reinforces the deepest bass below 400 Hz.

DALI Hybrid Tweeter System

17 × 45mm Planar Magnetostatic Tweeter

SMC™ Essential Magnet System

DALI's patented Soft Magnetic Composite technology plays an important role in the SONIK 9's low-distortion performance.

The SMC™ Essential magnet system utilizes a hybrid iron-SMC™ pole piece surrounded by a ferrite magnet ring. By placing SMC™ material within the voice coil's working zone, DALI reduces magnetic hysteresis and eddy currents that can contribute to distortion.

This improves driver linearity and helps preserve subtle musical details, particularly throughout the critical midrange frequencies.

The result is cleaner vocals, greater transparency, and a more natural, relaxed listening experience, even at higher volumes.

Deep, Powerful Bass with Exceptional Control

One of the SONIK 9's defining characteristics is its ability to deliver substantial low-frequency performance without sacrificing articulation.

Its three 7-inch drivers work alongside three rear-firing Dual Flare bass-reflex ports, extending bass response down to 34 Hz (±3 dB).

The SONIK 9 is engineered for medium to large listening rooms where smaller loudspeakers may struggle to deliver convincing scale and dynamic impact.

Standing approximately 44 inches tall with its supplied outriggers and spikes, the SONIK 9 has a commanding presence without appearing unnecessarily bulky.

DALI's Wide Dispersion Sound Design creates a broad, enveloping soundstage with a consistent tonal balance across a generous listening area.

Unlike many conventional loudspeakers, DALI recommends positioning the SONIK 9 facing straight ahead rather than angling the speakers toward the listening position.
