The KLH Model Five is a classic acoustic suspension loudspeaker reimagined for modern hi-fi systems. With real wood veneers, included slant riser bases, and timeless mid-century styling, it brings the look and feel of classic American hi-fi into a speaker that still feels right at home today.

Its 3-way design uses a 1" aluminum dome tweeter, 4" pulp-paper midrange driver, and 10" pulp-paper woofer in a reinforced MDF cabinet. The result is a full, controlled, and musical presentation with strong bass foundation, clear vocal presence, and the kind of easy scale that works beautifully across rock, jazz, folk, classical, vocals, and everyday listening.

Each speaker includes its matching 5° slant riser base and low-profile magnetic grille. Optional alternate grille cloths are available separately for those who want to customize the look.

Design and placement

The Model Five uses an acoustic suspension enclosure rather than a ported design. This gives it a controlled bass character and can make placement more forgiving in real rooms, especially compared with some rear-ported speakers.

Each speaker includes a dedicated 5° slant riser base made from powder-coated 14-gauge steel. The base angles the speaker upward toward the listening position while giving it the proper stance and stable foundation.

The included low-profile magnetic grilles complete the classic KLH look, while optional alternate grille cloths are available separately for those who want to change the appearance.

The three-position Acoustic Balance Control also lets you tailor the speaker’s output to your room and placement.
