The Unico Due is the latest evolution of Unison Research’s hybrid integrated amplifier design — pairing a tube preamplifier stage with a powerful, high-current solid-state output section.
Designed and built in Italy, it refines the Unico platform with a redesigned circuit, upgraded power supply architecture, and enhanced output stage engineering.

At its core are two ECC83 (12AX7) valves — one per channel — configured as a gain stage followed by a cathode follower. This gives the Unico Due its tonal character: harmonic richness, depth, and natural spatial presentation.
The output stage operates in Dynamic Class A bias, meaning the output devices never fully switch off. This reduces distortion at low listening levels and preserves clarity during quieter passages.
Unison Research’s “Super-Symmetric” topology uses a carefully engineered BJT configuration to improve linearity and composure under load.

The solid-state section delivers the current and control to drive demanding loudspeakers confidently.
